The Garden / 庭園

Marijke Vasey is a Belgian / British artist currently living and working in Burgundy, France. ベルギー/イギリス出身のアーティスト フランスのバーガンディを拠点に活動 She is a graduate of Goldsmiths College, London, having completed an MFA in Fine Art in 2019. She is inspired by the landscape that surrounds her studio and is interested in creating painterly juxtapositions that combine different styles. She draws upon the styles of the decorative Rococo period and is fascinated by creating fusions between that and minimalism and expressionism. 2019年ロンドン、ゴールドスミス・カレッジ卒業、MFA取得。 自身のスタジオを囲む風景からインスピレーションを受け、異なるスタイルを組み合わせ絵画的な並置を作り出すことに関心を持ち制作を行う。 ロココ時代の装飾造形や様式を引用しながらミニマリズムや表現主義との融合に取り組んでいる。
