Fukuyuki Fuyutei

CHIEN WEI HUNG was born in Taiwan in 1993. Received a doctorate (art) from Kyoto University of the Arts Graduate School in 2025. He carried out creative activities based in Japan from 2025 to early 2026, and is currently based in Taiwan. Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Fine Arts, National Taichung University of Education.With nature as the main subject, Kan's works depict the suppleness and ephemeral beauty of life. By capturing the appearance of plants in the changing seasons with delicate brushstrokes and projecting momentary moments, we question the essence of existence and the flow of time. Transparent textures are layered over and over on the screen, creating a serene and deep poetic space.The production uses “tenguchoshi (tenguchoshi)” unique to Japan, which is regarded as the thinnest paper in the world, based on azabu, and developed a unique Japanese painting technique. By layering many layers of decals and repeatedly applying mineral pigments, we have created a blurry and deep space, and we continue to explore the possibilities of expression that this material has in contemporary painting
