佐東ヒロキ Beingシリーズ。都市の建築物をモチーフに、そこに確かに在るという存在の強度と、風化し朽ちゆく脆さの狭間を捉えた一作。岩絵具とアクリル絵具を対比的に重ね、重厚さと儚さが同居する独自のマチエールを生み出している。

A work from Hiroki Satoh's Being series. Using urban architecture as motif, the piece captures the tension between the solidity of something that is undeniably there and the fragility of its inevitable weathering and decay. Layering mineral pigments and acrylic paint in contrast, the artist creates a unique matière where weight and ephemerality coexist.
