Jackson Pollockのイメージをオマージュした作品シリーズの1つです。

この「アクションペインティング」は絵具をドリッピングする行為に価値の重きをおいている。

その行為自体は今までの価値観である

「筆でキャンバス上にイリュージョンを生み出すこと」

への脱却があるかと思うが、私のようなアート初心者からすればそんな予備知識もないし、

この作品自体が明確な対象物を描いているわけではないから、ぱっと見の印象で

「何で有名なのかわからない」

となってしまう。

そこに本当にお節介な話ですが「ポロック風に描かれた作品に対し、意味性をあえて付加し、アート初心者でもなんとなくわかるように仕向けた」のが本作品です。

ちなみにタイトルにある「尼崎」は日本の都市名なのですが

そこから想起される要素をカラーとして変換した場合

白／空の雲.

黒／闇の匂い.

赤／飲み屋の赤ちょうちん.

ピンク／エロス.

黄土色／飲み屋の壁.

深緑色／汚れた海.

水色／空.

橙色／気前の良さ.

灰色／工業地帯.

黄色／お金.

が一例として挙げられます。

それらの要素が概念的に混ざり合う様子を具現化したのが本作となります。

このように色から鑑賞者が想像を膨らませ、予備知識がなくてもとっつきやすいように仕上げたつもりですが、いかがでしょうか。

This work is homage to Jackson Pollock.

Action painting puts value in the act of dripping paints.

This act itself has no clear meaning and the work does not depict concrete objects,

leading non-art-specialist such as myself into thinking “what is this famous for?”

at the first glance.

In this work, I am providing unsolicited explanation by adding meanings to the painting.

Amagasaki is a city in Japan, from where I got the following inspirations for each color;

White: clouds

Black: smell of darkness

Red: lanterns hung under eaves of pubs

Pink: eroticism

Ocher: pub walls

Dark green: murky sea water

Light blue: sky

Orange: open-heartedness

Gray: industrial district

Yellow: money

Through these colors, you can expand your imagination and

enjoy the work without being an art expert.
