メクナーの作品は、観察と風刺の交差点に位置し、多文化性、ナショナル・アイデンティティ、社会的均質性といったテーマを探る。オーストリア、フランス、アメリカのあいだで育った彼女は、日常に潜む制服やレジャー活動などの小道具や象徴を外側の視点から分析する。これらの要素を切り離して提示することで、集合的アイデンティティを成り立たせる構造を問い、社会的ルーティンの舞台装置的性質を強調するグラフィックで意図的な表現を用いる。 2000年米国生まれ。オーストリア系アメリカ人。Royal College of Art にて2025年にMA in Paintingを取得し、プラハの Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design でも学んだ。
