Meandering, Talking（edition ♯2/♯3）

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was scheduled to participate in a residency program abroad, but was unable to travel, so I ended up participating in the program online from Japan. As the pandemic progressed, I found myself spending more time in my room. So I started creating video works to send digitally to overseas audiences, and sought to give form to my own experiences, intertwining various thoughts and backgrounds.Specifically, I came to the realization that I might be able to express through my work the rising suicide rate among women in Japan, information about life and death, my complicated feelings about my late mother being a midwife and giving sex education lectures, and even my own trauma. The moment I publish my story, it is no longer just my story. It was at that time that I read the book "A Room Alone."
