渋谷の路上や駅などで出くわした出来事とその時に入手したモノを素材に制作した作品シリーズ。

This is a series created with occurrences and items collected from the streets and the train station of Shibuya.

夜中に渋谷のスナックに行った。狭い店に入ると、客は初老の男だけだった。私がビールを注文すると、その男が私に話しかけてきた。男は会社の部下の結婚式でスピーチをする事になっていて、ここで練習をしてもいいかと聞いてきた。私がうなずくと、男はマイクを持って練習を始めた。その日、私は「人生1度の今日の良き日に」から始まる男のスピーチを何十回も聞いた。明け方、店を出る時、男は私の肩に腕をまわして、「今日はおごるよ」と言った。人生１度の今日の良き日に。

At night, I went to a snack bar in Shibuya.When I entered the cramped bar, the only customer was an elderly man.After I ordered a beer, the elderly man struck up a conversation with me.He said he will be making a speech at the wedding ceremony of his subordinate at work, and asked if it would be all right for him to practice here.After I nodded, he took a microphone and started practicing.That day, I heard the man’s speech that began with, “On a great day like today that happens only once in a lifetime,” dozens of times.At dawn, as I was about to leave, the man put his arm around my shoulder and said, “It’s my treat today.”On a great day like today that happens only once in a lifetime.
