意図的な偶然 #806

渋谷の路上や駅などで出くわした出来事とその時に入手したモノを素材に制作した作品シリーズ。

This is a series created with occurrences and items collected from the streets and the train station of Shibuya.

夜中に渋谷を歩いていると、2人組の警察官に呼び止められた。片方の警察官に、何をしているのかと聞かれたので、私は路上に落ちているモノを拾っていると説明した。2人は、私が持っている袋の中身を見たいと言うので、袋を手渡した。2人は、袋の中のピンク色のおもちゃを取り出し、透かしたり臭いをかいだりした。一通り袋の中身を確認し終えると、片方の男が、「清掃活動ですね」と言った。私はうまく聞き取る事ができなかったので、聞き返した。すると2人は同時に、「ゴミ拾いですね」と言い、全く同じタイミングでお互いの顔を見た。

When I was walking around Shibuya at night, two policemen stopped me.One of them asked me what I was doing, so I explained to him that I was picking up items lying on the streets. The two said they wanted to see what was in my bag, and I handed over the bag.They took out the pink toy, put it against the light, and smelled it.After they had rummaged through the bag, one of the men said, “You’re cleaning up the streets.”I wasn’t able to hear him clearly, so I asked him to say it again.And then both of them said, “You’re picking up trash.”They said it at the exact same time, which made them take a look at each other in the face.
