渋谷の路上や駅などで出くわした出来事とその時に入手したモノを素材に制作した作品シリーズ。

This is a series created with occurrences and items collected from the streets and the train station of Shibuya.

渋谷の交差点でつけ爪を5枚拾った。友人にその事を話すと、「つけ爪じゃなくて、ネイルチップって言った方がいいですよ」と言われた。爪の色を変える気持ちがよく分からなかったので、化粧みたいなものかと私が聞くと、彼女は、「メイクと違って、ネイルの場合は自分でも常に見れるから、全然違います」と言った。そして、「常に見れるから、ネイルの色を変えて、なりたい自分のイメージに近づきやすいんです」と言った。私は5人が近づきたかったイメージについて想像してみた。その日、友人は、緑色のつけ爪をしていた。

I picked up five pieces of press-on nails at Shibuya Crossing.When I told my friend about it, she said, “It’s better to say nail chips rather than press-on nails.”I couldn’t really understand how it feels to change nail colors, and asked her if it was the same as putting on makeup, to which she responded, “Compared to makeup, nails are something the wearer can see all the time, so they are completely different.” She went to to say, “Because I can always see them, I can easily get closer to my ideal look by changing my nail colors.”I tried imagining what kind of looks these five people were going for.That day, my friend was wearing green pressed-on nails.
