Twisting flowers

Maeda Daisuke's works are created for the purpose of revealing reality systems that don't usually rise to our consciousness. The work begins by taking photographs of everyday scenes, old magazines, and images from the internet, then extracting those outlines on a PC and collaging them as sketches on paper. Outlines extracted on a PC = fragments of time are used as materials. When the sketch is projected onto a canvas, a landscape with strong anonymity comes to mind that everyone feels that they have seen it somewhere. Precisely because of its strong anonymity, people who see it assign their own memories and assumptions to that landscape, and see a completely different landscape and meaning from the original photograph. I'm interested in the Hyakusa-Hyakusama reality system, which supports different interpretations that are far from factual.
