Amane Nakamura
artist
Amane Nakamura was born in Gifu in 2002. She is currently enrolled in the Master's program in Oil Painting (Studio 6) at Tokyo University of the Arts.
She creates figurative paintings that bridge the context of Japanese animation with the formal traditions of Renaissance art. Sparked by how metaphors in anime backgrounds—such as wind, distance, and boundaries—hint at human emotions and relationships, she explores concepts of "density of information" and "construction of detail" to recreate contemporary landscapes using both stylistic frameworks.
