Sculptor/Woodcarving/3D
Focusing on wood carving, I create three-dimensional works that combine different materials such as powder, gold leaf, resin, and epoxy resin.
Using animals and people as motifs, I capture not only the “shapes” created by carving wood, but also the “space” created by drilling, the “light” that shines into it, and even the “shadows” as part of the work.
The warmth of wood, the white of the powder, the brilliance of gold leaf, and the depth of the transparent resin.
By layering different materials, we aim to create a sense of life within a static sculpture.
Animal works express the strength and serenity of each figure, such as tigers, dragons, deer, giraffes, and camels, and in character works, I create themes of memory, seasons, and life while combining natural objects such as flowers and fruits with human figures.
