時間の進行と共に、この一瞬も過去となります。成長と共に思い出を積み重ね、経歴を生み出し、より深い知恵を創造していくこと、これは全て自我の一部分であり、それらが集まって独自の個体になります。果物や木の葉が落ち、地面に沈むと、また別のものへと転化し、養分となります。そして、それらが積み重なり、新たな循環となります。

自分自身の過去を振り返り、どの時においても自身が下した選択に責任を持ち、自我を肯定する、これらは自身の大きな養分であり、そうすることでもっと積極的にどの瞬間も永久の追求とすることが出来ます。

鑑賞者がうつむいて作品を見る時、鏡にイメージが反射し、自身が映し出されます。視覚は平面から発展し、鏡の中に新しく下から上へと生み出され、反転した瞬間、上昇の動きとなり、また別の循環へと発展します。

作品の一番上に挿したモチーフは、乾燥させた植物にモルタルをしみ込ませ、高温で焼き上げたものです。植物は消えましたが、新たなモチーフを生み出し、循環の意義を表現しています。また時間を保存することで過去を生み出し、未来へ続く時間を創造します。

As time passes, each moment instantly becomes part of the past. Memories begin to accumulate as people grow, build up experience and develop wisdom. These are all part of the self and coalesce into a unique individual. In the same way, fruit and leaves fall, decompose into the ground, and transform into nutrients to nourish a new cycle.

When looking back on the past, each one of us ought to own every choice we make at every moment as an act of self-affirmation. All of our choices are nutrients that make us grow in strength in order to continue the eternal pursuit of each moment as time moves on.

When viewers look down at the work, they see themselves in the mirror. As they broaden their field of view, the objects in the mirror are upended and suddenly appear to be growing upwards to start a new cycle.

The topmost object is a dried plant coated in clay and fired at high temperature. The plant has ceased to be but a brand-new form has taken its place, conveying the significance of this cycle that preserves the past while creating a future that in a continuous extension of time.
