よく「作品のアイデアはどこからくるのか？」と聞かれるのですが、それは雷が落ちるように突然やってきます。私の場合、何か他のことに意識がいっている時が多いようです。車を運転している時やテレビでサッカーを見ている時などです。

なぜそうなのか私には分かりませんが、もともと文章から生まれた作品ではないものですから、それを文章化するのが毎回すごく大変です。

とはいえ、期日はやってきます。明るく楽しくつくってみせるのが私の仕事です。

I’m often asked, “Where do the ideas for your work come from?” The answer is that they suddenly strike me, like lightning.In my case, it is often when my focus is onto something else, like when I’m driving a car or watching soccer on TV.I don’t know why it is that way, but since my work doesn’t come out of something you can put into words, it’s quite difficult to verbalize every time.There are, however, always deadlines. What I have to do is to make work brightly and cheerfully.
