born in Tanggul, East Java, 1970.
Slamet Wahyudi is a self-taught artist whose practice spans both painting and drawing. Beyond his studio, he shares his skills generously with the wider public, most notably with children, through his popular “Menggambar Mudah” programme on social media. He also creates calligraphic works, offering another facet of his artistry for public appreciation.
Today, Slamet Wahyudi works daily from his studio in Kerobokan, Bali. His practice, shaped outside formal institutions, speaks to a lifelong curiosity and persistence that continues to guide his creative path.

Active in group exhibitions since the early 1990s, Slamet’s career reflects steady dedication to his craft.
His earlier showcases include exhibitions at the Stamp Museum, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta (2008); the Yogyakarta Pavilion, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta (2009); and Ranah Minang Bangkit at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta (2009).
More recent appearances highlight his ongoing presence in the contemporary scene, with works shown at ARTSUBS 2025: "MATERIAL WAYS", Art Jakarta Gardens at Hutan Kota, Jakarta (2024); Ungkap Jagad at Jagad Gallery, Jakarta (2023); Art Jakarta at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta (2023); and Art Jakarta at the Jakarta Convention Centre, Senayan (2022).
