Work Details
■Details of the work
The night quietly begins and slowly comes to an end, expressed through this lighting piece.
With built-in GPS system, the light automatically turns on when the sun sets anywhere in the world, goes off from one side as night falls, and turns off at sunrise.
Until the Edo period (1603-1867) in Japan, people worked and slept at different times depending on the season, using the “indeterminate time” system, which was based on sunrise and sunset.
The flickering light will accompany the rhythm of nature, which is difficult to feel in the city, as long as the night lasts.
The light can be switched on and off at any time and dimmed, and is rechargeable via Type-C.
The continuous lighting time is 12 hours at maximum light intensity and constant lighting.

How to Enjoy
Basically, it does not light up during the day, but you can always turn it on by switching the switch on the back of the main unit to “DAY Mode.”
Also, when you were moving or traveling, GPS can be synchronized by pressing and holding the GPS button for 2 seconds or more while the power is on. This allows you to synchronize with the sunset and sunrise at the destination you are traveling to. Be sure to leave the work outside when synchronizing with GPS. GPS signals cannot be received on eaves or indoors. GPS syncing takes 5 to 15 minutes.
Also, the title, creator, and year of production of the work itself are engraved on the back of the work.

Since childhood, I have believed that an object possesses a spirit, and beauty emerges when each thing fulfills its purpose. This beauty becomes a ‘survival strategy,’ allowing objects to be cherished over time, embedding themselves in people’s lives as fragments of memory and landscape.
