Work Details

This series of works explores the theme of different countries and cultures intersecting and weaving a common story across time and space.

Legendary connections are sometimes talked about between Japan and the ancient Arabs.

By synthesizing the landscapes of the two lands, we created a world where the remote places were part of a single story.

Technically, multiple exposure imaging of photographs is used. Different landscapes are layered over and over, and mask processing has also been partially used, but we aimed for visuals that can be naturally accepted as one new landscape.

In this series of works, I'm trying to visualize the fact that the world we live in is connected by invisible threads.

***

“Jews used to come to Japan a long time ago.”

The Jews hid their treasure “Solomon's Treasure” in Mount Tsurugi.

The hidden place became a children's song and left a map in people's memories over a long period of 2,000 years.

It is a traditional landscape photograph not found anywhere else in the world, created using multiple exposure processing of the scenery of Jerusalem and Tokushima.
