Work Details
Through activities as a makeup artist for approximately 25 years
Create an original collage work by cutting and pasting photographs using your own makeup works using an analog method
.
When I create works as a makeup artist, I have a
model, have a photographer take pictures, get retouched more and more, get away from my own hands, and I feel joy and a sense of accomplishment in being completed as a team work, so to speak, and I also wonder if I can express myself
I express a woman who is nowhere by reconstructing (in a kind of violence) my own work (with a team) once and for all, as I think (in a kind of violence).
Each piece of work mixes my thoughts and techniques
at that time and moment regardless of the time axis, and it is an antithesis to expression with generative AI based on collecting all kinds of data, and it is self-expression.
What is the original image of a woman, one by one, expressed in this work
The sharp woman Edgy heard
Cut out warm colors from among them
Can't be seen only from the outside, it exudes from the inside
It expresses cuteness. Things I wanted to do
An original print
Cut and paste with your own hands
One of a kind analog collage
about 3 weeks
Things you can't make digitally
I'm expressing it.
More than the design of the work
Finished as a make-up artist
Also for each work
The time I spent on myself up to that point
I want you to feel
