Concept and production intention of the work

“Mirror of the Soul” is a series that expresses the human mind and spirit by likening the human body to a heart-shaped silhouette and composing the inside of it with multiple characters.

We live our daily lives by playing different personalities in our interpersonal relationships and environments. In other words, as a matter of course, everyone uses various masks (personas) in their social lives. It's not a bad thing or anything special, it's a necessary strength to run a society that comes naturally, and it's also an important factor in establishing one's own identity. While I affirm this way of being, I often feel uncomfortable with who I am. Based on such problem definitions and feelings of incongruity, I am creating on the theme of “my true self,” which we lose sight of in our daily lives the more we use different masks (personas). Although it is a kind of closed production process called character images spun from one's own imaginary landscapes and experiences, I expect a synergistic effect that occurs when viewers project themselves.
