Work Details
This painting captures the overwhelming sensation one feels when gazing at the sky from within a dense forest. The trees stretch their branches like tendrils, enveloping the sky and creating a retinal and fantastical world. Through this scene, I aim to convey a presence that peers into the droplets of water as if utilizing the trees as a support structure.
The materials used—laminated spruce, water-based paint, colored pencils, and oil paints—blend harmoniously to bring an alluring depth and expressiveness to the work. Each element contributes to a unified whole, embodying the mystical and immersive experience of being in the forest.

I have a feeling that I want to carefully project the charm of the forest, which is shrouded in the mystery of nature, in my paintings. I want to project the breath of life of trees and flowers on a screen and draw pictures that invite you to that deep world. I want the work to exist with depth and strange distortion, as if it were a landscape projected by small drops of water. The title of the recent work, “Omen,” captures a premonition of change. I express the ever-changing breath of nature from my own point of view and memory. Born in 1964 in Kochi. He dropped out of the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts in 1994 at the end of his doctoral program, majoring in oil painting. ▼Solo and Group Exhibitions (Biography from 2011) 2011 “Aspect” Ars Gallery/Tokyo ('11) 2012 Solo Exhibition “Scenery - Drops” Color Art Museum/Tokyo 2013 Solo Exhibition “Scenery - Rain” Relocation Exhibitions Galerie SOL/Tokyo 2014 solo exhibition “Scenery — Dwelling” Sukiwa, Tokyo/ Shiga 2016 Nouvelle Ere du Japon II Galerie Temenaga/Paris, France 2017 Art Exhibition “Rhyme” Tokyo Sukiwa, Tokyo Solo exhibition “Forest and Moon” Horyuji Gallery/Nara 2018 “Nature's Non-Odor” 2-Person Exhibition, Shinjuku Takashimaya/Tokyo 2019 Solo Exhibition: Song Yun Phase I Sukiwa, Nishiogikubo Eight International Guest Artists/Galerie Biesenbach/Cologne, Germany Asagaya Art Street 2019 International Art Festival/Asagaya Mogami River Project “Mogami River.
