この作品は大丸神戸店のために描き下ろした作品「in bloom」です。神戸市の市民の花である「あじさい」と、市民の木である「さざんか」を纏った二人の女性が、リラックスをして楽しくおしゃべりをしているようなシーンを描きました。私にとって大丸神戸店は、子供の頃から三宮・元町に行ったら絶対に立ち寄る、大好きで思い入れのあるお店です。そこに自分の作品が加わることに驚きと喜びでいっぱいです。これからはこの絵が、お店にいらした方々のお買い物のひとときの楽しみになってくれると嬉しいです。
