Taro Yakumo grew up surrounded by art, nurturing his creative sensibilities from an early age under the influence of his father, an art dealer, and his mother, a metal engraver. His encounter with music further ignited a strong sense of identity in his expression. Through extensive experience in the art scenes both domestically and internationally, he evolved into a unique pop expression that challenges existing values. His core belief, “Art is entertainment,” remains a consistent and vital thread running through his entire body of work.
