『 under construction』はショベルカーをモチーフにした作品。“都市の営みの痕跡を俯瞰することで見えてくるもの”をテーマに、都市の風景の中で日常的に目にする建設機械や日々の生活になくてはならないものをモチーフに、間が手を加え、築きあげてきたものから見えてくる輪郭や面の形態の要素を用いて、過去から現在、そして未来へと続く時間の流れを緻密な表現を可能とするロストワックス精密鋳造技法を主に用い、真鍮やブロンズといった金属に置き換え表現する。
