Work Details
I have recently gone back to exploring the idea of the monochrome and how a black painting can contain a really strong sense of inner luminosity.
I love the idea of having just one sumptuous bow-tie serve as the sole subject of a small painting and really working up the reflections whilst keeping everything very painterly at the same time.
Black light and mystery
Oil and acrylic on panel. Iridescent medium mixed in with the oil paint.
