Work Details

When I look through a magnifying glass, I see myself looking at myself.

At that time, we feel a strange feeling as if we are going back and forth between “this side” and the “other side,” that is, between reality and fiction. Our own gaze in the mirror makes us recognize that we are both “viewers” and “people who can be seen,” and furthermore, we notice that people who use magnifying glasses stand on the side of being observed by those around them.

Just as a magnifying glass is a tool to look into a small world by expanding it, this mirror is a tool for expanding the human world and peeking into the world that fluctuates in the eyes of oneself and others.
