Work Details
長い時間をかけて形成された大理石という素材に向き合い、その内部に刻まれた生命の痕跡や記憶を手がかりに、生と死、現在と過去のつながりを探求している。
大理石は、太古の海洋生物の遺骸などが堆積し、長い年月の中で変成して生まれた石である。制作の過程では、ときに化石を思わせる形象が内部から姿を現す。安達にとって、石を削り、磨くという反復的な行為は、かつて存在した無数の生命の記憶へと接続していくための時間でもある。
そうした偶然の痕跡との出会いを受け入れながら、悠久の時間を内包する石と対話するように制作を重ね、生と死、過去と現在に向き合うための儀礼的な行為として彫刻へと昇華している。

Hibiki Adachi (b. 2002, Kyoto) graduated from the Sculpture Department at Hiroshima City University’s Faculty of Arts in 2025 and is currently pursuing graduate studies in sculpture at the same university. Working primarily with marble, he explores the traces of life and layers of time embedded within the stone, reflecting on the connections between life and death, past and present. In 2025, he received both the Excellence Award and the Acquisition Award at the Hiroshima City University Graduation and Completion Works Exhibition.
