Amane Nakamura was born in Gifu in 2002. She is currently enrolled in the Master's program in Oil Painting (Studio 6) at Tokyo University of the Arts. She creates figurative paintings that bridge the context of Japanese animation with the formal traditions of Renaissance art. Sparked by how metaphors in anime backgrounds—such as wind, distance, and boundaries—hint at human emotions and relationships, she explores concepts of "density of information" and "construction of detail" to recreate contemporary landscapes using both stylistic frameworks. 2024 Exchange program at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) while attending Nagoya Zokei University 2026 Art Award Tokyo Marunouchi 2026, Gyoko-dori Underground Gallery (Tokyo) 2026 CADAN Study Vol.1 “GABE6” – Usukubo Laboratory, CADAN Otemachi (Tokyo) Amane Nakamura (b.2002) Tokyo, Japan Instagram: @amane_nakamura13 Email: a.nakamura.contact@gmail.com Education 2026-2028(Current) MFA Tokyo University of the Arts, Painting 2022-2026 BFA Nagoya Zokei University, Art Expression 2024 Exchange Program, Academy Minerva, the Netherlands Solo Exhibition 2023 "Zoom In, Zoom Out" Mikan House (Aichi) Group Exhibitions 2022 Shinzui Exhibition , Aichi, Japan 2023 as windows, OGU MAG+, Tokyo, Japan Here and there, here and there, wherever I wonder, places here and there, Nagoya Zokei University, Aichi, Japan 2024 ZINE Exhibition, Nagoya Zokei University, Aichi, Japan 3rd Year Expo, Minerva Academy , Groningen, Netherlands 2025 ACT Art Grand Prize Exhibition 2025, Art Complex Center, Tokyo, Japan Paintings that Open Up Tomorrow: 43rd Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition, Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo, Japan 2025 ZERO Exhibition, Toyonaka Cultural Arts Center, Osaka, Japan 21st Belladonna Art Exhibition, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan Link Your World to Me, Nagoya Zokei University, Aichi, Japan After That = Or, Or,, Chateau Koganei, Tokyo, Japan Progress, Kawaijuku Art Institute, Aichi, Japan 2026 26th CBC Soar!
