映像作品 "INFINITY" (ビデオ, 11分, 4K, 2022) を
日本文化のなかの掛軸を想起させる細長いディスプレイに組み込み、
茶道具としての映像を制作した。
木製掛は本来、季節の俳句が書かれた色紙を挟むための道具である。
私はその書や俳句といった色紙を、映像に入れ替えてみた。
日本文化の中で長く続くものに、今日の技術を組み合わせて新鮮な感覚をもたらす作品を目指した。
季語としての映像のモチーフに、水を登場させた。
この映像はCGではなく、作家がカメラを通して撮影した実写素材がもとになっている。
光の分散により、RGBカラーの水面が見飽きることなく揺れ続けている。
カメラを通して光の色を見たときの驚きを、なるべくそのまま保存するように、
また俳句にならってシンプルに映像作品化した。
