Along with Hemerocallis, whose language of flowers is “liberation.”
A figurative painting full of vitality, drawn using acrylic, oil, and colored pencils. Figures of people floating underwater or in a space where light swells are drawn with dynamic movements that cross the screen diagonally. It reminds me of an expressionist approach that sought to express the energy of life in color and form.
On the technical side, the thick texture of oil paint and the powerful handwriting (brushwork) with a sense of speed are the same as the texture of the screen, realistically embodying the undulations of space and the flow of water. Vivid yellow motifs are arranged here and there on a transparent color layer based on cool colors of blue and green, and the brightness and color comparison of the colors give a visual rhythm and a strong sense of dynamism to the entire screen.
It is a work that also makes you feel a sense of liberation and a mystical story.(Curator’s Comment)
