WOW25th Anniversary Project｜Logo Design

WOW25周年を記念し、社内コンペによりロゴを制作。さまざまな個性を持ったメンバーの集合体とその個性が重なり合う様を円で表し、それらが無限（∞）の表現力を生み出すというコンセプトのデザインが選ばれた。

そのロゴをさらに発展させ、社内有志によりロゴムービーを制作。WOWの25年の歩み、集合体もしくは個人としてのWOWを、デザイナーがそれぞれ解釈し、作品を発表した。

We held an in-house competition to create a logo, to commemorate the WOW’s 25th anniversary. The concept on which the design was chosen entailed a circle that represented a group of members each with their own individual personalities. The overlapping of such personalities joins together to create the infinite (∞) power of expression.

To further develop this logo, volunteers within the company created a logo movie. In this movie, each designer provided their own interpretation of the 25 year journey of WOW, either from a group or individual perspective, and presented their works.

Concept

WOWの真骨頂は「期待感」と「変化」。今回、見えそうで見えない何かを「感じる」「予感する」をコンセプトに動画を制作。「次に何をやってくれるか」という期待と、驚きを与え続けるWOWのものづくりに対する姿勢を重ねられる演出にした。25年の月日で、全員で作り出してきた『WOWに対する期待感』。これは世の中の変化に先んじ、惰性に甘んじず常に変化し続けてきたことにより生み出されたもの。WOWの真骨頂「期待」を超えるための「変化」、その態度を動画に込め、最後は 「リセット画面」 で結んだ。 – 阿部伸吾

“Based on the belief that the true essence of WOW is ‘expectation’ and ‘change,’ on this occasion, we created a video based on the concept of ‘feeling’ and ‘foreseeing’ something that seems to be visible but cannot actually be seen. When designing this work, there was the idea of overlap between anticipation of ‘what can be done next?’ with WOW's constantly surprising approach to manufacturing. This is the ‘sense of expectation of WOW’ created by all of us over the course of 25 years. To do this it is necessary to not give in to the pull of inertia, and constantly change, staying ahead of the changes occurring in the world. This video includes this attitude of ‘change’ as something that exceeds the essential ‘expectations’ of WOW. The video concludes with a ‘reset screen.’” —Shingo Abe
