Work Details
Input “Origin, Point of Sound” is a work dealing with the rise of perception based on the idea that “the world began with a single sound.”
Using transparent acrylic, metal, and mirrors, the way you see changes depending on the light, scenery, and the viewer's gaze.
What appears there is not a fixed image; it is a fragment of a feeling that is born and then disappears as you look at it.
The overlapping of such experiences raises questions about how we perceive the world. Please
Solo exhibition statement
In Buddhist thought, there is a saying that the world began with just one sound.
Before form and meaning were born, the first thing that existed was an invisible sound.
This exhibition “Origin, Point of Sound” is an attempt to explore the state of perception that occurs between seeing and feeling, using “the origin of sound” as a starting point.
Until now, I have visualized the existence of invisible things by layering layers under the theme of “accumulation and perception.”
Materials such as transparent acrylic plates, metal, and mirrors repeatedly transmit and reflect while receiving light, scenery, and the viewer's gaze.
What appears there is not a fixed image, but a fragment of a sense that is born and then disappears during the act of seeing.
They appear moment by moment and quietly accumulate.
The world remains unchanged, and only perception is slightly shaken.
Amidst that fluctuation, we are once again aware of how the world stands up and how it is being felt.

Acrylic plates drawn with a pen-shaped machine called a router are laminated to form a single work. A mirror is installed at the back, and the reflection of the surroundings is also part of the work.
