the heat gets to me(with glitch)

幼少期、コンピューターでのお絵かき遊びに没入し、大学では油画を専攻。自らの制作活動の中で、幼少から慣れ親しんでいた「デジタルで描いた絵」をどのように作品として昇華していくかを考え始める。量感を伴う油画などとの表現とは違う、「デジタルで描いた絵」にしかない質感に注目している。現在は電子基板やモニターそのものの存在感にも意識を向け、他素材とコラージュのように組み合わた表現を試みている。

I’ve been drawing on the computer display since my early childhood. I focus on and express the texture that is unique to digitally drawn paintings. Recently, I’ve been paying attention to the presence of electronic boards and monitors themselves, and try to express them in combination with other materials like a collage.

彼女の作品では、本来隠されてしまうことの多い映像を再生するための再生装置（電子基板や配線やアダプターやモニターの類）が作品然としてそこに存在している。それは幼少期から当たり前にタブレットで絵を描いてきたデジタルネイティブのペインターならではの感覚だと言えるかも知れない。絵画でありながら映像であり立体でもある新しい作品体験を是非楽しんでいただきたい。

In her artwork, devices used to play back videos which are often hidden (such as circuit boards, wiring, adapters and monitors) all exist as part of the work. It may be a sentience typical to the digital native painters who had already been drawing on the tablet since their childhood. I hope you enjoy the new artistic experience that is a painting, video and three-dimensional piece at the same time.
