Work Details

Crows have been associated with Japan for a long time. I imagined when such creatures evolved into Yatagarasu, which appears in Japanese mythology, and depicted the world of sounds that I see as colors by layering them with the sound of wings flapping their wings.

Production time... about 2 weeks

Hamada Takashi

Painter of traces of sound

Born in 1990 in Kumamoto.
Through synesthesia, he captures sound as color and form, and creates abstract paintings.
The masterpiece “TRACE” depicts traces and reverberations left by human voices and presence, and “NOISE” depicts the process by which sound is born and then disappears.
Influenced by ancient Japanese color views and spiritual culture, it was created using sounds made by humans as the main motifs.
In recent years, I have been exploring views of life and death and traces of human existence through sound.
The work contains dragon characters in fragments.
