Work Details

Work description

I created it with the theme of emotional ups and downs.

I think it's hard to understand what kind of shape it is in the photo, so I'll explain it.

The side consists of 3 sides and is shaped like a triangle when viewed from above.

The front side has a glass surface, so you can look inside. The right back side has an undulating shape, and the left back side is a striped surface of frosted glass and mirrored glass.

Furthermore, by shining light from the striped surface, shadows appear on the uneven surface, and they are reflected as in the photograph.

Shine the light from your favorite position, adjust the degree of reflection of the shadows, and enjoy making the glass look you like the most.

What I wanted to express in this work

Everyone has good and bad emotional ups and downs, and I think it's important to allow yourself to be yourself. The straight light is distorted by the undulation of the shape when it enters the work. But it also emits a beautiful light. By changing your point of view or changing your point of view, what you think is negative may lean towards positive things.

Production methods and tools used

Kiln cast, sandblasting
