Concept and production intention of the work
I became aware of the existence of “pollen” for the first time in the year I became allergic to hay fever.
Quiet pain suppressed by medicine and a desire to excrete it.
Countless pollen fibers piling up in the back of the nose and inside the body were rampant as vertical lines (strokes) that filled the screen.
I want to blow away the tightly overlapping layers of uncomfortable pollen without a trace by “sneezing.”
This work depicts the quiet tension before making such a sneeze.
