動物墨絵師として主に東京で活動しています。
動物園で見た、ゾウやライオンなどの動物達の皺や筋肉に惹かれモチーフとし、墨絵を描き始める。
墨のもつ力強さ、繊細な淡い色、様々な表情を見せる色味。
動物と墨を掛け合わせる作品は「生命力」「表情」「色彩」をシンプルかつストレートに表現し、様々な表情を見せる動物たちは作者自身が持つ感情を伝える代弁者として描いています。
生き物から生まれる「墨」という画材で、また動物を描くという事は、アートもまた生物多様性の中にあるという認識をさせてくれます。
