Work Details
While capturing snacks such as hamburgers as icons from the 80s and up west coast culture, which I was influenced by when I was a teenager, I created thick oil paintings as a homage to the deteriorated “organic graphics” that I felt in prints of old clothes and used records from that time. It is a production style in which paint is applied directly from the tube to the painting knife without diluting the oil paint.
