副題には「You shall love your neighbor as yourself／あなたの隣人をあなた自身のように愛せよ」という、キリスト教の聖書に幾度か出てくる文言を採用した。 コロナ禍では孤独を感じる時間が増えたように感じ、アフターコロナではより人との繋がりを大事にしていきたい、そんな風に少なからず意識している自分がいることに、コロナ禍を経た日常の人々をドローイングしながら気づいた。人々の残像は眼前で重なり、大きな生命体のようだった。これは誰かでありあなたであり私自身でもある。人と人の繋がりを具現化するように、描いた作品。
