この絵のはじまりは、特定の”誰か”を描いていた。
途中でいくら描いても誰にもならないことに気づき、描きかけの顔を絵の具で覆い隠した。
それは不特定な要素となり想像のための余白が生まれる。
描きおえて人目に触れたとき、あの顔は再び”誰か”に成り代わった。
私はふとした瞬間に垣間見えたものを（無意識に存在する私たちの奇妙さを）手探りでどうにか絵にする。

1996年三重県生まれ。 2019年に京都芸術大学油画コース卒業、現在は東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科絵画専攻在学中。 日常のふとした瞬間に目撃した人々やそれらを取り巻く状況を、写真やインターネットで偶然目にした画像や、自身の記憶をたよりに描き、自身にしか見えない奇妙な何かをとらえている。主なグループ展に「まなざしのカタチ」（WAITINGROOM、東京、2020）など
