Work Details
私の絵画作品は幾つかの素材や色を使い描かれる。なぜなら、"スペクトラム"を表現するためには、多くの語彙を必要とするからだ。私が言うところの"スペクトラム"とは、ちょうどプリズムキューブを通して世界を見たときの、七色に輝く分散光のようなものを意味する。 私は、その"スペクトラム"を美しいと感じる。多様性は今の時代にとって重要なものであるし、昨今の芸術作品にとっても等しく重要だと考えている。
私の作品では、すべての素材と色はキャンバスの表面により平板に落とし込まれる。その時、私はその中に平等な関係と、世界の構造を見ることができる。 私が着想を得ているのは、平板的で平等な関係を持つ日本の伝統的な絵画や建築で、私はそれをとても"スペクトラム"だと感じている。
My painting works are using several materials and colors. It’s because, I need a lot of vocabulary for expressing “SPECTRUM”. I mean to say “SPECTRUM” like a rainbow light spectrum when seeing the world through a prism cube. I feel “SPECTRUM” is beautiful. Diversity is important in this age and it is also important in current artworks.
In my works, all of materials and colors are flat by surface of canvas. Then I can make an equality relation each of them, and I can see the world construction there. I am inspired by Japanese traditional paintings and architectures that are flat and equal relation, and that is so “SPECTRUM”.
