Artist information

Shotaro Sanada

Sanada Shotaro was born in 2000 in Hyogo. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, majoring in aesthetics, and enrolled in the master's program at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies. Kuma Foundation 8th term scholarship student.

While presenting large-scale paintings with the theme of “new landscapes,” we will practice cross-domain research in aesthetics and information engineering, exploring whether human creativity also resides in communication with extended bodies through painting production and artificial intelligence development. While attending Tokyo University of the Arts, he was selected as the first “Google Japan x Gen Z Artist” artist, and was in charge of holding live paintings at Makuhari Messe and permanently installing large paintings at JR Nagano Station.
