Work Details
２４時間オープンの展覧会を開くことにした。東京からドイツの片田舎に移り住んでから、日本とドイツに於ける労働環境や店舗の開店時間の違いに興味を持つようになった。ドイツでは8時を過ぎるとほとんどの商店が閉まり、日曜日はどこも朝から開けることがない。初めはドイツの静かで何も無い夜に物足りなさを感じていたが、次第に日本に当たり前にある２４時間態勢の店に疑問を抱くようになった。コンビニエンスストアとは直訳すれば便利な店だが、ここでいう便利とは何を指しているのか。展覧会会期中の日曜日に、夜間シフトの労働者のような役割として、コンビニに模した店の中に朝までただ居続けるというパフォーマンスを行った
