POETIC SCAPEにて2017年から発表している渡部敏哉「Somewhere not Here」シリーズです。
渡部はこの作品において、自らの意識の底にあるイメージを写真で掬い上げることを試みています。海、都市、草木など、実在する風景を撮影した写真からは現実感が消え失せ、一様に「ここではない、どこか別の場所」を暗示しているように見えます。不安定さと美しさが同時に存在する風景や、見つめれば見つめるほど被写体の意味が目の前で解体されてゆくようなシュルレアリスム的な作品など、いわば液体のように流動的なイメージでシリーズは構成されています。
本シリーズはPOETIC SCAPEでの二度の個展（2017、2019）に加え、ベルギーでのグループ展、オランダでのフォトフェアにも出品、高い評価を受けました。
