1995年 東京藝術大学大学院美術研究科油画専攻修了。在学中から写真を中心にメディアを横断する作品を発表し続けている。
近年では写真とカメラにまつわる ”写真論”コミック本「CAMERAer」（2018年）を上梓。
また野村をゲストキュレーターに招いた平成30年度横浜市所蔵カメラ・写真コレクション展「暗くて明るいカメラーの部屋」（横浜市民ギャラリーあざみ野）は大きな反響を呼び、その後中国・成都のA4 Art Museumにて巡回展が開催。2020年には油画作品「Merandi」を発表、幅広い活躍を続けている。
