Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hikaru Utada's debut, the "SCIENCE FICTION TOUR 2024" marked their first nationwide tour in six years. This project captures the essence of the tour through the perspectives of nine photographers, resulting in a photo book and artwork preserving and celebrating these moments for future generations.

Named after J.D. Salinger’s short story collection "Nine Stories," the project parallels the profound narratives of the book with Utada's live performances across nine cities. Renowned contemporary artists Kazuhei Kimura, Chikashi Suzuki, Mayumi Hosokura, Rinko Kawauchi, Daido Moriyama, John Yuyi, Wing Shya, Takashi Homma, and Rika Noguchi lend their unique perspectives, weaving a visual narrative using photography as their medium.

This collaboration, a testament to Utada’s unparalleled artistry, brings together these leading photographers to craft an unprecedented form of live photography and photo books. It captures not just the concert moments but also the essence of Hikaru Utada as an artist. The project aims to ensure that her legacy continues to inspire not only five years but also fifty, a hundred years, and beyond.
