How does one navigate the immense structures, such as architecture and language, that intricately weave themselves into the fabric of our personal lives? I continue to explore this theme across various media, including literature, sculpture, film, and photography. And with the end indefinitely approaching, I attempt to resist or escape with my unique gestures, holding a longing for somewhere far that isn’t here.
Testimonials
Whatever medium is used in an installation, there is no point if the set-up carries stylistic beauty even for a second. Eternally continuing to escape from this curse would not be possible without the fundamental awareness unique to the artist towards issues, and cold-blooded criticism towards space and phenomena. Well aware of this risk, time awaits an intellectual adventure that traces a line cunningly and sincerely. Nakamura’s statement beautifully expresses this will; exactly in his attitude, “with the end indefinitely approaching, I attempt to resist or escape with my unique gestures, holding a longing for somewhere far that isn’t here”, we can find the fragments of his philosophy that construct his carefully put-together work using various methods.
