Concept and Intention of the Artwork
A monster is stabbing an angelic human-like figure with a spear.The pain in the heart is not physical, but the way it feels can sometimes hurt like a stab.When you feel you are the hated one in a community, large or small, you feel alienated, as if you are an outcast in society.This work was inspired by Masaccio's painting of the expulsion from paradise and I tried to depict it from my contemporary perspective.
