stakes / stakes on the water

This is a minimalistic painting series composed of scattered stakes and colored surfaces.

If fluidity and quietness can be expressed in the use of color, there is no concern about unique “water-like” colors.

After being developed as an irregular series of "stakes o the water” series from 2001 to 2008, the title was changed to “stakes” from 2011 after several years of interruption, and motifs other than stakes were added and developed.
