Lives and works in Kameoka, Kyoto, Japan

染色の仕事をやりながら銅版画なども制作。1970年代から紙や石を使った作品を作り始め、関西の画廊を中心に竹や和紙を使った作品を発表。1982年には川俣正、彦坂尚嘉とともに第40回ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレの日本館に作品を発表した。その後も国内外で作品を発表し続けている。
