With a background in fine art, sculpture, textiles, performance, horse riding, and polo, her practice captures motion through elegant, fluid lines. Yuriko Fukuda is a Japanese contemporary artist based in Tokyo and raised in the United Kingdom. She is recognized for her signature gold-line works, which explore movement, energy, and the invisible rhythms beneath form. Her multidisciplinary background in fine art, sculpture, textiles, and performance has shaped a visual language that combines elegance, precision, and dynamic motion.

Fukuda’s practice is deeply influenced by her early experience in horse riding and polo, which she began at a young age while studying in the UK. The discipline, speed, and physical sensitivity of equestrian sport continue to inform her artistic approach, particularly in her depictions of horses and movement. Through flowing metallic lines, she seeks to capture not only the physical outline of a subject, but also its inner force, spirit, and momentum.

After graduating from high school in the UK, Fukuda won the Red Carpet Green Dress competition in 2021. Her work was later featured in international media including Vogue Italia, WWD, Yahoo News, and PR Times, and was showcased at a pre-Oscar event in Los Angeles in 2023. She later graduated from Waseda University in Tokyo, while also gaining experience in the luxury industry through merchandising roles at Louis Vuitton and Dior.

Recent highlights include a permanent large-scale commission for CBRE Japan’s Tokyo headquarters, including the 5-metre centerpiece “Kinetic Flow / Horse Year 2026,” now part of the CBRE Tokyo Office Art Collection. She has also created a private commission for Ferrari K.K. in Tokyo, collaborated with MAISON de SABRÉ on the Phoenix Artist Edition Palais Bag, and participated in exhibitions including The National Art Center, Tokyo.

Fukuda’s work bridges contemporary art, luxury, movement, and personal symbolism. Her practice continues to develop around themes of transformation, discipline, resilience, and invisible energy.
